Arsenal need a playmaker to fill the creativity void. James Maddison and Martin Odegaard are understood to be priority targets.
Many would prefer Ode because he has already played for the Gunners and won't need to integrate into the squad.
But an Arsenal fan nicknamed Gunnerpr would rather see Maddison make a switch to the Emirates as there is one thing at which the Leicester City man is better than the Norwegian.
"We should be targeting players who are effective in the final third," Gunnerpr wrote on Online Arsenal. "We have too many players who are passengers when the ball gets close to the penalty area.
"No goal threat from our CMs, Saka and ESR aren’t goal scorers, Odegaard isn’t a goal scorer, Pepe can be but he can also not touch the ball for 4 games in a row, shit fullbacks (without Tierney).
"With that in mind adding a player like Maddison who does have that eye for goal is really important to the balance of the team in my opinion.
"I'd rather want that profile than Odegaard who may make more passes but isn’t actually particularly effective at directly contributing to goals.
"In conjunction with an attack-minded CAM we should be partnering Partey with an 8 who is a technician and can help link all-round play."
