Dinos Mavropanos and 2 more players who deserve to stay next season despite exit rumours

Dinos Mavropanos

Arsenal plan to sign Ben White spending over £40m as Mavropanos is edging closer to joining Stuttgart for a reported fee of £7m. Does it make any sense?

Mavropanos was bought in 2018 and was deemed as a great centre-back for the future. The Greek was unfortunate to suffer a string of injuries that hampered his progress.

It seems that the 23-year-old has now overcome his struggles and is ready to deliver at his full potential. Dinos is a towering centre-back with a rangy stride, who has an eye for a pass and of the same age as White. Why not give him a chance and spend money more on other positions?

Lucas Torreira

The Gunners need central midfield additions and we probably have a solution in the squad already. The problem the Uruguayan has had at Arsenal is cultural. He admitted that he was struggling to adapt to life in England.

The 25-year-old revealed a few months ago that he dreams of playing for Boca Juniors. However, that is a very remote possibility and Torreira's immediate future lies elsewhere. Now, reports insist that he's ready to move to Lazio.

One of the reasons behind his desire to leave Arsenal was a lack of playing time. Now, as Arteta's favourite Xhaka is close to joining Roma, he could get a fresh start to his Arsenal career. Torreira just needs the manager's trust to rediscover his confidence.

He's now entering his prime years and has always been admired by fans who even composed a song in his name. Lucas will definitely add the much-needed grit to midfield but does Arteta see him as a part of his team?

Alex Lacazette

The Frenchman has 12 months left on his contract and rumours link him with a move to Spain or Italy.

However, the striker has a skill set that no other Arsenal striker has. His hold-up play has always been brilliant and last season he showed that he can link up really well with our kids and even carry out a playmaker role.

Laca finished last season as our top scorer with 17 goals ahead of Pepe (16) and Aubameyang (15).

Selling him without signing an experienced replacement could prove to be a costly mistake. So, offering him a short-term extension for another season makes perfect sense.

Apparently, he hasn't said his final word in football and can perform at the top level for a few more seasons.
