Arsenal told to sign Ivan Toney to replace Gabriel Jesus — but Brentford man is charged with breaking betting rules

Speaking to the Metro, Ray Parlour said: "The problem you're going to have in January is who's available? I've always said Ivan Toney. I'd go and try to get him.

"I don't think you'll get him in this [upcoming] window but he's who I'd go for. I think he's similar to Ian Wright, the way he plays and scores his goals."

Toney has emerged as one of the best strikers in the Premier League this season, scoring ten goals in the top flight and nearly making England's World Cup squad.

However, the Brentford man is currently after being charged by the FA with a total of 252 alleged breaches of betting rules. The 26-year-old faces a lengthy ban if they are proven.

Arsenal, meanwhile, will be looking for attacking reinforcements in January in order to maintain their unlikely title challenge. Gabriel Jesus could be out for three months with a knee injury.
