Arsene Wenger's emotional tribute to Alexandre Lacazette brings the striker to tears

Former Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette was moved to tears after receiving tributes from his former managers and teammates, including ex-Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

Lacazette has been performing exceptionally well since his return to Olympique Lyonnais, having scored 19 goals and provided four assists in 28 Ligue 1 appearances.

This resurgence in his career comes after spending five years at Arsenal, where he scored 71 goals and provided 36 assists in 206 appearances. A one-hour Telefoot special will be dedicated to Lacazette this weekend, where his Lyon career will be explored through the testimonies of relatives, players, and coaches.

In a teaser clip shared by Telefoot, Lacazette is seen being moved to tears by the tributes from his teammates, past and present, as well as Wenger.

In the 40 second clip, Matteo Guendouzi, who played with Lacazette at Arsenal, says: "I’m very lucky to know you and very lucky to have a friend like you. Ciao brother. See you soon."

Meanwhile, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who at times developed a telepathic relationship with Lacazette in north London, added: "I’ve already said this multiple times in interviews. I will repeat it - you’re like my brother."

Moreover, Wenger added: "He’s a real fighter. He never gives in."

Samuel Umtiti, who in the past played with Lacazette at Lyon, said: "I hope that at the end of our career we’ll have the opportunity to play together again and celebrate our goals together as we did in the past."
