Fabrizio Romano gives exciting update on Reiss Nelson's future as current deal close to expiring

Arsenal are close to agreeing a new four-year contract with Reiss Nelson, confirms Fabrizio Romano.

The Englishman’s current deal expires in a month, but there is confidence that a new one will be agreed before that.

Romano told GiveMeSport: “It’s close for a four-year deal with one-year options. They are careful in their communication because Arsenal received many approaches from English clubs, from Italian clubs and from French clubs too.”

Nelson initially rejected Arsenal’s first contract offer, but appears to have been sold by the latest one which promises him a longer stay at the club.

The winger scored three goals and provided two assists in 11 Premier League appearances last season, impressing as a substitute.
