Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea are all looking to sign a new midfielder ahead of the 2022/23 campaign — and the deals depend actually on each other.

The Gunners are favourites to land Declan Rice from West Ham, pulling out of the race for Moises Caicedo with the Blues looking to sign the Brighton star.

This will allow the Stamford Bridge side to allow Mateo Kovacic to join Man City with Pep Guardiola's team already agreeing personal terms with the 29-year-old.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the only way this transfer chain could fail is if Man City decide to abandon the Kovacic pursuit and rival Arsenal for Rice's signature.
