Man United are thinking about potentially trying to hijack Arsenal’s move for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, as per The Telegraph.
The Red Devils know that the Gunners’ recent bid of around £90m (£75m+£15m in add-ons) was rejected.
As a result, Man United are plotting a potential player-plus-cash offer for Rice’s acquisition.
The Manchester side are ready to offer West Ham a transfer fee alongside either Harry Maguire or Scott McTominay in exchange.
The Hammers are reportedly interested in signing McTominay, while fitting Maguire to their wage-bill could be tough.
With that being said, Arsenal are still firmly leading the race to sign Rice as they’re the only side to have launched bids for him so far.
