Arsenal to make Folarin Balogun most-expensive sale in club history

Balogun wants regular first-team football after his successful loan spell at 

 last season and it’s thought he wants to make a permanent move away from north London. 

According to Sky Sports News, the Gunners' valuation is £50m for a player who still has two years left on his contract.

Balogun who scored over 20 goals in France is reportedly attracting interest from 

 is currently Arsenal's most expensive departure when he joined Liverpool for around £34.2m in 2017.

Arsenal have to decide whether to sell Balogun this summer or keep him at the Emirates Stadium and integrate him into Mikel Arteta’s squad.

The 21-year-old has only made 10 appearances for Arsenal but impressed last season on loan at Reims, scoring 22 goals in 39 games.

Balogun’s tally in Ligue 1 was more than Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, suggesting he could develop into a key player at Arsenal.

But the American is behind Gabriel Jesus in Arsenal’s pecking order and Kai Havertz’s £65m move from Chelsea will only increase the competition in the forward positions.

Balogun has insisted he is not interested in another loan move next season and wants to either be given a chance at Arsenal or be sold.

I don't know why the young man is such in a hurry. I thought he would stay and fight for his chance instead of demanding for guarantees from Arteta.

It doesn't make any sense to send a player on loan to acquire more experience n having successfully n significantly improved on his performance only to be sold without giving him an opportunity to prove himself in the club. Arsenal must learn from Gnarby experience.  A word is enough for the wise
