A.C. Monza have completed the permanent signing of Pablo Mari from Arsenal in a deal worth €7 million. The Gunners agreed to an obligation-to-buy clause in the Spaniard’s loan agreement last summer which has been triggered now that the Biancorossi have avoided relegation.
Pablo's time at Arsenal has been challenging, as he faced injuries and stiff competition from new signings. However, a successful loan spell with Udinese caught the attention of several Serie A clubs. The Spanish defender spent the whole of last season on loan with the team he now joins, AC Monza.
Despite facing adversity, including a shocking attack that left him needing surgery, Pablo has performed remarkably well for Monza in their first season in Italy's top league.
He has been a regular presence on the field, showcasing his talent and resilience. During his tenure at Arsenal, Pablo made 22 appearances and scored one goal.
