Arsenal academy left-back Lino Sousa has turned down a chance to play at the Under-19s Euros with Portugal in order to make an impression on Mikel Arteta.
The 18-year-old, who joined the Gunners' youth setup last year from West Brom, opted to join Arsenal's pre-season training instead, according to The Athletic.

Although the youngster could've taken an additional week off after featuring in the tournament, he's reportedly eager to resume action as soon as possible.

Albert Sambi Lokonga has revealed why he's absent from Arsenal's pre-season training.
Quoted by 90Min, the midfielder stated: "Due to a small muscular injury, I'll sadly not be part of the summer camp with the team in Germany. I'm focused now on my recovery to prepare the season and be ready to help the team at my fullest capacity."
