At a recent event, Brentford director Lee Dykes confirmed that Ivan Toney could depart the club 'very shortly'.
Quoted by Brentford media, Dykes said: "There should be interest [in Toney], and maybe the time comes very shortly that Ivan moves on to another club.
"But they will have to pay a decent transfer fee to acquire his services because he is some talent."
Now it's been reported that Toney is 'excited' to join Arsenal despite interest from Chelsea. And it's no secret that the Englishman is among the finest strikers in the Premier League right now.
He'd be eligible to play fresh after a lengthy betting ban - the perfect time for Mikel Arteta to unleash his fire.
Toney scored 20 goals last season, bettering his tally [12 goals] from 2021/22. Signing him in January could just be what Arteta needs to continue fighting for trophies.
