Even the best striker in the world in Arsenal will not score many goals.
That's the fact.
How and when do top strikers score?
One or two verses one.
How many 1v1 or 2v1 does Arsenal strikers have in a match?
The thing is that, Arsenal don't take advantage of the teams playing up high by counters, we will wait until all opposing players return back before advancing.
Even the invincible never gives any opposition team the time to regroup, why are we doing that?
We can't even play a quick one or two for 2 minutes ?
This is the reason why strikers lose confidence.
It has nothing to do with a striker.
If Nketia and Jesus can have 5 one v one per game, you will see the numbers of goals that they will score.
Look at the game against Liverpool, we had many counter attacking opportunities but we never countered but look at Liverpool, anytime we lose the ball in the midfield, they countered can you remember 5 Liverpool players attacking only Declan Rice?
That is how champions play.
We need to grow up and do the right thing.
Someone needs to call Arteta to order and Odegaard needs to start releasing the ball on time.
Instead of sitting too deep whenever we lose the ball, we equally need to be compact always ready for counters.
It's not easy but we need to spell out why our strikers are not scoring.

I actually agree with you on this...this issue of instructing the wingers to stay wide at all times isn't making sense...even our supposedly deadly wingers never get to show their pace ... never seen any of them being released on a counter situation with through balls tht will end them up in a one on one situation aswell.
sometimes I get gutted with our sluggishness and I feel it's taken frm us more than it's added.
I just pray it doesn't cost us at some point though.
we Shud learn to diversify and be unpredictable in our attacking aswell

you are damn right. the slowness to advance....like no urgency the make a sudden attack when released from defence.....player like zinchenko for example.... already said during my other chats.... zinchenko likes to pause and letting the opposition to regroup. Arsenal should really improve on this part of the game...no thru ball to the front line. how can a proper forward wanted to take advantage.

and even our defenders have shown the ability to throw long balls with perfect targets, remember last term several goals have come by that way..Saliba and Xhaka assisted Martineli with long balls, even Saka received long balls from defenders and created goals and chances! I dont know why this term we dont do that

Agree arsenal are not train to make opponents pay with quick counter. Many times they hold the ball when opponents lost possession while attacking. When u do quick counter opponents will think twice before they dare ti commit too many players forward. We need to work on that mentally n get the players to think fast and wise up!

From the above statistics, the first time Arsenal came second in 2002/2003 having been on top at Christmas period,they went on to win the league the following season.
Now, they came second last season while top at Christmas time.
DEFINITELY, they are DESTINED to win the league this season 2023/2024........exactly 20 years of the Invincibles  !!
