Gabriel Martinelli urged to be 'more greedy' at scoring & 2 more under-radar Arsenal stories

Arsenal set historic English record

In addition to securing the three points, Arsenal achieved a Premier League first in their 6–0 demolition of Sheffield United away from home on Monday.

Under Mikel Arteta, the Gunners have become the first team in the history of English football to score five goals or more in three consecutive away games.

Saka named Fans' PFA Player of the Month

Bukayo Saka has won the Fans' PFA Player of the Month for February, having either scored or assisted in seven Premier League appearances.

He was also named Arsenal's Player of the Month, becoming the first player to win it twice in 2023/24 so far.

Martinelli urged to be 'more greedy'

In an interview with TNT Sports Brasil, Gabriel Martinelli said: "Aaron [Ramsdale] and Jorginho said that to me in the Burnley game, even against Porto: ‘Hey, sometimes you’re too nice to the team, you want to pass’.

"I say if I see a player in a better position, I try to pass. Because if I was in that position, I’d want the ball.

"So I think that sometimes I can be a bit more greedy, but that’s up to each individual. And sometimes on the pitch it’s very fast, if you think about two things, you get confused and end up doing neither.

"So I think that maybe I can be a bit more greedy for myself, sometimes scoring more goals. But I think for now I’m doing what I think is right on the pitch and for now it’s working."
