Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are both doubtful to feature when Arsenal play Brentford in the Premier League this weekend.
At his pre-match press conference, Mikel Arteta said: "We got some players back last Monday and then we had Martinelli and Bukayo with little issues.
"We're pretty positive that hopefully they can be part of that [Brentford]. But we’ll have to see how they feel tomorrow."
Late assessments will be conducted to determine if they are fit to play this weekend. If there are doubts, it'd be better to rest them for this game instead of losing them for longer periods.
Saka and Martinelli have both been vital to Arsenal's title push this season. However, given the crucial stage of the season, the Gunners must prioritise players' fitness over anything else.
