Arsenal ready to set landmark milestone in Bayern Munich clash

Arsenal are set to battle against Bayern Munich in the first leg of the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League quarter-finals today (April 9).

This will be a bit of a special occasion for the club as it marks the Gunners' 200th game in the European competition.

Arsenal first played in the Champions League way back in 1998, making their debut against French side RC Lens.

The Gunners have won 101 of their 199 matches played before this Bayern clash and incidentally, the team they've played the most games against int he competition is the Bundesliga side (12 games).

Arsenal will be gunning for revenge in this Champions League clash after having suffered two 5-1 defeats to Bayern in the 2016/17 edition.
