Arsenal saw their 2023/24 Premier League aspirations take a major blow with a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.
Incidentally at the same time, former Gooner Granit Xhaka won the Bundesliga title after Bayer Leverkusen’s 5-0 thrashing of Werder Bremen.
The Leverkusen fans invaded the pitch before even the final whistle had blown, with the Swiss midfielder scoring a brilliant goal in the game.
After the game, as the Bayer players celebrated in the dressing room, right-back Jeremie Frimpong called Xhaka over to him in an Instagram live video.
He started shouting at Granit, saying: “Xhaka we won the league. Granit, you came from Arsenal and you won it (League title) here. My f****** G!”
Xhaka laughed off that comment as he is clearly delighted to have won the Bundesliga title after his return to Germany.
