Man City are set to face Tottenham Hotspur in the penultimate game of the 2023/24 Premier League season and one that can decide the title race.
Arsenal can gain a huge advantage in the title race if Spurs defeat the Cityzens or hold them to a draw. This would ensure that the Gunners stay in first place before the Everton match.
Yet Many Tottenham Hotspur fans are actually ready to lose this match. They want their players to intentionally squander it to hurt Arsenal’s title-winning ability.
Before the upcoming game, Sky Sports started a poll asking Spurs fans if they really want to lose to Man City to hurt the Gunners.
56% of the fans who voted in the poll answered ‘yes’, while 44% voted ‘no’. This goes onto show the majority of the Spurs faithful are happily ready to lose the match.
This is ironical considering that Tottenham needs to win this match to keep their own dreams of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League alive. Arsenal can only watch and hope that Man City drops points in this game.
