Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins looked devestated during his club’s end of season awards dinner, despite walking away with two trophies. The dinner coincided with Manchester City's 2-0 win over Tottenham, a result which is likely to see Arsenal miss out on their first Premier League title in two decades.
Tuesday's result means that City have moved two points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table. If the Citizens beat West Ham in their final game of the season on Sunday, they will lift the Premier League trophy for a fourth successive season. And that would leave Arsenal without a trophy.
The reason for Watkins' reaction can be explained after an interview he gave in 2022 recently resurfaced online - and it's because he's a huge Arsenal fan.
In an interview with YouTube personality Chunkz, Watkins was asked who he supported growing up, to which the England star replied: "I'm a big Arsenal fan. I think Thierry Henry is the best player to have played in the Premier League - he could do anything.
