'Margins are so, so small': Arteta names two games that cost Arsenal Premier League title

Arsenal finished second in the Premier League. The Gunners ended the season with 89 points but it wasn't enough to win the title as Man City got 91.

Speaking after the game, Mikel Arteta named the 2-0 defeat to Villa in April and City's victory at Tottenham this week as two key results that didn't go the Gunners' way.

"For sure Aston Villa at home," the Spaniard said, as quoted by Metro. "In the first half it should have been 4-0. Maybe the story would have been different.

"What happened last Tuesday, maybe we could have been champions. These are the margins that are so, so, so small.

"That’s the credit that the club and the team should take. We’re doing this against the best team in the history of the Premier League by far."
