Saliba & other Arsenal players react as Cedric Soares confirms exit

Cedric Soares has taken to social media on Monday afternoon to announce that he is leaving Arsenal this summer.

The 32-year-old right-back spent four-and-a-half years with the Gunners after initially joining them on loan from Southampton in January 2020 before making the move permanent in June.

"When I say a team, I mean exactly that, quality in every player, the professionalism that you show and the amazing human beings you guys are, so thank you," he said.

"When I say club I mean all the departments, all the staff that is constantly putting all the hard hours on and off the pitch to make it possible to fight at the highest level.

"When I say club it also means its heart and with this I mean you guys, THE FANS, that made this journey soo unreal and unforgettable. So to all the fans, I thank you! You will always have a special place in my heart!"

Jack Wilshere, Eddie Nketiah, William Saliba, David Raya and some others have all taken to social media to send their best wishes to Cedric.

Cedric made 64 appearances for Arsenal, with five of them coming this season, and he was linked with leaving on several occasions in recent transfer windows.

However, no agreement could be reached and he is now leaving the Gunners as a free agent following the expiration of his contract.
