Mikel Arteta has reportedly spoken with Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford in recent weeks about a potential surprise transfer to Arsenal.
Rashford endured a difficult season at Old Trafford often the target of fans over his poor performances. He has been linked with a move away from the club with Arsenal also mentioned.
"Understand Arteta and Rashford have spoken in recent weeks," an Arsenal blogger AFCAMDEN wrote on X.
"Interest on both sides but remains to be seen how willing United would be to sell to us. Can’t see it happening personally, but would absolutely love him at Arsenal".
It’s not too often we see players move between these two clubs, but it has happened occasionally in the last decade or so with Danny Welbeck and Henrikh Mkhitaryan moving from United to Arsenal, while Robin van Persie and Alexis Sanchez moved in the opposite direction.
