Speaking to Gambling Zone, William Gallas said: "Joshua Kimmich is the perfect replacement for Thomas Partey.
"He can also play in midfield and right-back and I think if he signs for Arsenal he will play in the middle.
"He has the quality and experience to add a lot to Arsenal. He will need to adapt to the Premier League and I think he has the quality to do it.
"Kimmich is technically very good and him in a midfield with Declan Rice could be something special for Arsenal.
Kimmich has just a year left on his Bayern Munich contract and the midfielder has been tipped to leave the Bundesliga giants either this summer or next.
Arsenal are believed to be keeping tabs on the 29-year-old who could be ready for a new challenge in a new country at this stage of his career.
