Aaron Ramsdale claims winning Euros will be his 'pinnacle' — even if he won't play

Aaron Ramsdale is not bitter about being England's second-choice goalkeeper. In fact, he'll still consider winning the Euros one of his biggest achievements even if he does not play.

"It was tough [being on the bench for Arsenal], it was tough. But I have my release now, I’m now here," he said.

"I’ve got the greatest honour, the greatest badge on my chest. If I play a minute or no minutes, it will be the pinnacle for me.

"Out of a population in England of 60 million or whatever it is, I'm living all of their dreams. And then there is one man living my dream on the pitch, and that one person is doing a hell of a job."

Ramsdale has not played an official game for club or country since March. He suited up for England in a friendly defeat to Iceland right before the Euros but has been on the bench ever since.

It's a good thing he relishes it, then. However, it seems like he feels very different about being David Raya's backup at Arsenal.
