Head of youth development Neil Bath reveals 15-year plan behind Lampard's revolution

Frank Lampard has been giving a lot of chances to the Blues' Academy players and it has been working out well so far. Neil Bath, who has been working in the club's youth development for over 25 years and has been head of it since 2011, has shared feelings over what's going on at the club right now.

"When you’ve known the players and their families since they were kids, and you’ve seen how much hard work has been put in from everybody on the journey, it is an emotional and special feeling when you see them out there on the pitch,"

"It’s what we’ve been working towards for 15 years since we restructured the Academy in 2004 and a lot of people – players, parents and staff – have been on that journey for almost as long. The fact that we have four or five of them making that breakthrough into the team at the same time makes it even more unique and extraordinary."

Chelsea Academy graduates are taking the Premier League by storm:

Chelsea's Academy kids have been incredible this season so far. Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Fikayo Tomori have had some world-class performances and earned England call-ups. Reece James and Marc Guehi, who have also shown limitless potential, keep starring for the Three Lions U21 squad.
