Mourinho lavishes praise on Chelsea-linked Pepe

According to the numerous reports, Cheslea are monitoring Lille's in-form player, Nicolas Pepe. The Ivory Coast international can be used both up front and as a winger and his goal-scoring prowess is truly awe-inspiring.

Jose Mourinho has been attending Lille games and seems to be impressed by what he saw.

Mourinho said of Pepe: ''I do not know what is my next club! But everyone knows that he is a quality player, in the making. He played almost every game, [and] was decisive for his team.''

Pepe joined the Great Danes from SCO Angers in the summer of 2017 for a €10 million fee. The 23-year-old, who has scored 21 goals and provided 12 assists in 39 games across all competitions, is a genuine winger but could also be used as a striker.
