Pleasing news for Chelsea fans as Batshuayi earns his first PL start for Palace

After Michy Batshuayi's loan spell at Valencia was cut short back in January, supposedly, due to the striker's poor display, the Belgian joined Premier League side Crystal Palace until the end of the season. The Eagles' interest in the 25-year-old, in fact, goes back a long way as they have been eager to sign the player since 2016.

And on Saturday, February, 23rd, the Eagles' coach Roy Hodgson has granted the Belgian his first-ever Premier League start in the clash against Leicester City.

With the manager clearly heaving trust in the forward, hopefully, there will be more chances for Michy this season as it's been quite a tough one for him. At Valencia, Batshuayi played 23 games in all competitions, mainly used as a substitute, and scored three goals. With the Eagles, he has so far played 38 minutes in two Premier League fixtures against Fulham and West Ham, introduced late into the game in both clashes.
