Sky Sports to kick off Premier League restart with Friday Night Football with full gameweek broadcast on TV

Fans have lived without the Premier League football for far too long. For that reason, the return of football in England is expected to see all 10 games broadcast live on TV over the course of a weekend, with the first fixture back on a Friday night.

According to the Daily Mail, the plan will be for all 10 fixtures in a gameweek to be staggered over the course of the weekend, with every game broadcast live.

Tottenham vs Manchester United is expected to be the curtain-raiser for the resumption of football and will take place on Friday night.

Four games on Saturday and four more on Sunday are scheduled, with one game on Monday night.

Although it has been suggested there could be a game screened every day when football returns, the Daily Mail reports the Premier League plan to stick to a routine of there being one match on a Friday, four on Saturday and Sunday, and one on Monday.

There'll be no more 3 pm blackout: each game will be in a different time slot, and even those games that would've been unavailable for TV viewers before will now be shown live.

The broadcasters are ready - the league just needs the final green light from the government now.
