Chelsea academy prospect Armando Broja has hailed Timo Werner as a 'good signing' for the club and believes the German marksman's pace, strength, and goalscoring prowess will help him take the Premier League by storm.
"What do I think about Werner coming in? I think Werner is a really good player," the 18-year-old said during a recent Q&A on Instagram.
"He’s really fast, he’s strong, he can score a lot of goals so I think he’s a really player.
"I’ve watched a lot of him on YouTube and he’s quite good so that’s a good signing I think."
Broja's admiring words for Werner come just a few days after Kepa Arrizabalaga and Tammy Abraham dropped a strong hint of the German's arrival at Stamford Bridge by liking a post on Instagram that declared Chelsea's agreement of a deal with RB Leipzig.
Here's a collection of Werner's best goals at RB Leipzig:
The 18-year-old became Chelsea's latest first-team debutant just before the postponement of the Premier League due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, coming on as a substitute in the 4-0 rout of Everton at Stamford Bridge.
Broja displayed his prolific nature in front of goal for the U18s in the U18 Premier League this term, scoring 9 goals in 9 games, while also making the step up to the U23 side to score thrice in 10 Premier League 2 appearances.
The Albanian U21 international has been tipped to establish himself in a more substantial role in Frank Lampard's set-up in the years to come that would see him following in the footsteps of Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Reece James, Fikayo Tomori and Billy Gilmour from the Blues' youth ranks.
