In the post-match interview, Thibaut Courtois said: "We [Real Madrid] wanted to reach the final. It was our dream.
"Chelsea are a really organised team and they defend well. They made things really hard for us when it comes to creating chances in both legs.
"We were going to score, but [Edouard] Mendy saved [Karim] Benzema's shot. Then they scored the first goal and in the second half they created a lot of chances and killed the game in the 89th minute."
If Courtois thinks that one Benzema goal would've changed the outcome of the game, he's either delusional or not thinking clearly. The Belgian struggled to keep out shots from Timo Werner and Mason Mount as that made all the difference in the end.
Nevertheless, the win has set up an all-English final in the Champions League this season. We face Manchester City in what promises to be a grand battle for the top prize.
