'Everything is consequence of hard work': Jorginho reacts to Italy teammate's Ballon d'Or comments

Italy forward Lorenzo Insigne surprised a lot of Chelsea fans when he suggested that Jorginho should be 'shortlisted' for Ballon d'Or this year.

When asked about those comments, the Chelsea star insisted that the individual awards are not what on his mind right now.

"I don’t think about it, everything that is happening is the consequence of hard work," Jorginho said in a press conference.

"My priority is the group. Rejoicing together with my teammates and friends, is more beautiful than rejoicing alone."

So far, there's no widespread clamour for Jorginho as a Ballon d'Or contender. However, with Italy still in the running for Euro 2020, the Chelsea midfielder has a chance to put his name on the map.
