Chelsea 'on verge' of losing Livramento & 2 other top academy talents to Premier League clubs: The Athletic

As per The Athletic, 3 of Chelsea's top academy stars, Valentino Livramento, Lewis Bate and Myles Peart-Harris could leave the club soon.

All 3 of them have only one year left on their remaining deals and are reportedly refusing to sign extensions.

Bate is one of the most highly-rated midfielders in the country and 5 Premier League clubs, including West Ham and Liverpool, have expressed interest in signing him.

While Chelsea have offered him a strong deal, but Bate’s primary concern is 'the chance of first-team football in the future rather than financial gain'.

The report adds that some coaches consider Bate even better than Billy Gilmour at the age of 18.

The other 2 prospects face similar situations and are concerned over their development and playing time at Chelsea as Peart-Harris is close to moving to Brentford.

Livramento, a right wing-back, was the Academy Player of the Year - he also faces a long time on the sidelines as Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James are ahead of him in the pecking order.

Chelsea have already sold homegrown defenders Fikayo Tomori and Marc Guehi this summer, with these academy stars also possibly leaving.
