Intra-squad friendly ends in 1-1 draw, Hudson-Odoi and Broja both score

Chelsea had to cancel their game against Irish side Drogheda because of a positive covid test.

As a replacement for the friendly, the Blues had an intra-squad match that ended 1-1 with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Armando Broja scoring goals for their teams.

Both goals were scored in the second half. Both halves were of 45 minutes with no break apart from to change ends.

The game took place behind closed doors and it is described on Chelsea's official website as 'tight and well-balanced'.

As the key players are yet to rejoin the squad, it is mostly loanees who play in those games as well as the players who missed out on Euro 2020.

The likes of Lewis Baker, Dujon Sterling, Davide Zappacosta and, of course, Danny Drinkwater all played in the game.
