The deal is a loan deal but it includes a £17M option to buy the 19-year-old in January.

Chelsea will have a buy-back of £34M if Lokomotiv Moscow make the move permanent. 

The versatile teenager has made 5 senior appearances for the Blues.

Methinks releasing players on loan while they grow and sharpen their skills makes sense, instead of turning them into deadwood due to lack of playing time.

I agree, I was hoping that he would be one for the future. Makes sence to send  him out on loan., if sold, buy back clause should be a must as this kid could turn out to be a great player

if you are familiar with the team, you will understand we have almost 2 player in every position capable of starting... it's just the excess being sent out and so far, those with future are sold with clauses or loaned

@Ayomide _cielo ,the midfield still needed an extra man. Kante has started same way as last season.
Kova and Jorgi left at that CM/DM respectively.
Don't you think that having that extra reliable strong player in Tino Anjorin would have been awesome as the season progressed?

I hope this is not another Jose Mourinho 2nd era. Where 15 players including the likes of Mo Salah, Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne were sold for peanuts. Others included Thorgan Hazard and Juan Cuadrado.

This season we sold and loaned out many and brought in fewer.

Hope this will not affect the squad depth and quality as this season is packed with lots of competitive games.
