Chelsea 'offered' De Ligt amid Rudiger and Christensen contract uncertainty (reliability: 5 stars)

Chelsea have been offered Juventus centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, according to Goal's Nizaar Kinsella.

The Italian side would be prepared to offload the former Ajax captain due to his sky-high wages: the Dutchman earns £280,000-a-week in Turin.

De Ligt's agent Mino Raiola has also been vocal about the desire to move his client.

It's not clear whether Chelsea have been contacted by the player's side or by Juventus, but it's not clear whether the Blues would be interested.

At the moment, Chelsea are locked in talks with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

As per The Athletic, the Blues aren't prepared to meet Rudiger's current contract demands which are significantly lower than De Ligt's current deal with Juventus.
