“Being a Chelsea fan, (Conor) Gallagher’s obviously driven to try to get back there and be where he wants to be,” Wright said on the Kelly and Wrighty Show.
“Gallagher is one of those players – when I watch him, he’s never less than seven out of 10. He’s consistently good in every game I’ve seen him play.
“I think for him, it’s even tougher. Because he’s had to go out from Chelsea, go somewhere like West Brom who got relegated [despite] being the best player there, come to Palace and still be the standout.
“It’s unbelievable how he’s doing this.”
Gallagher has scored twice and assisted once in 8 appearances in the Premier League this season.
If he can continue to thrive at Crystal Palace, a shot at a permanent role with Chelsea might be a very real possibility for the youngster.
