According to French media outlet Foot Mercato, Chelsea have made direct contact with the representatives of Leicester centre-back Wesley Fofana.
The Blues are facing uncertainty over the future of four senior centre-backs, as Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta might all see their deals run out in the summer.
That's why it makes sense for Chelsea to sound out other possibilities and, although Foot Mercato is not too reliable, Fofana would be a logical target after impressing at Leicester.
Even though the story is yet to be confirmed by top sources, some Chelsea fans on Twitter have already voiced their opinions.
