Tuchel quips Rudiger doesn't need 'pampering and coffee talks' to sign new Chelsea deal

"I don't know if taking him for coffee will help... maybe it would push him out!" Thomas Tuchel quipped when asked whether he was working to convince

Rudiger has still not made a definitive decision on his future, with Chelsea not giving up on contract talks and multiple clubs trying to sign him as a free agent.

Pundits can only Speculate, Rudiger had not come out to say he wants to be the highest paid defender in the EPL, comparing him with Varane is ridiculous, wages of players is not based on recent performance otherwise every player in form becomes the most paid, a lot of factors come into play to determine wages and increment, if Rudiger is asking for increment because he won 1 CL then the salary of the whole team must be increased, Madrid his earlier Suitor pulled out, COVID has messed up all Team's resources including Cfc that's the reality

You are basing some of your assumption on Rudiger, demanding to be the highest paid defender in the Premiership. There is no evidence that he is demanding this.
What we do know is that what Chelsea offered him was considered  by him and other Chelsea fans to be a slap in the face, as 
it was way below what other top defenders are earning..
As nobody  but Chelsea and Rudiger knows the full details of where they are at in terms of finance, I think it is best to wait for all of the official facts before judging.

I didn't base my assumption on that, the truth is that no real Chelsea fan is happy that Rudigar deal is yet to be sorted out especially when he has less than 6 month to run his contract down, that an extreme weak position for the club, he's taking advantage of that and things could get messy just the way it went with Willian deal, Rudigar is doing exactly what Willian was doing.
both parties should sort things out ASAP for the sake of the fans and Rudigar should be more co operative considering the financial challenges of clubs in the face of covid 19 pandemic.

Sorry but when you read your previous post, it does sound that your comments  are responding to the unfounded reports that Rudiger is demanding to be the highest paid defender. Your comment even went on to say that Rudiger is holding Chelsea by the bslls. 
Anyway it does not matter, I was just highlighting that a lot of the stories that we are being told by people that are claiming to be in the know have not been crossed referenced, meaning anyone can say anything about anyone. 
I am not sure why, but Rudiger has received a lot of negitive press about his contract, people tend to forget that Rudiger is not the only player that has contract issues at Chelsea.

What he want is impossible, with huge loses and more with covid 19 affecting things, making him highest paid in premier league is madness, however, Chelsea offering him #140k is undermining and insulting to a player of Rudigar calibre, that's same salary odoi, and RLC take home, Rudi is not in that cadre, something in the region of#250k I think is fair, however, Rudi must see and act himself in the light as one to lead the next generation of star in Chelsea anals, he's been our best player this season but he can't hold the club by the balls just because he's in the last phase of his career and contract..
If Chelsea can survive the phasing of legends like JT, Lamps, Drogs, Cech and loss of Hazard in a season we were experimenting with an inexperienced coach, transfer ban to cap it, I can assure you, Chelsea can do without Rudigar, but I see him as one of our own who should be focused on moving on to becoming a Chelsea legend, he should be our next captain in 2yrs time.
if he thinks he's too big or he has arrived, then he should ask Willian how market. if veterans like T.Silva is gladly signing contract with huge appreciation, melody in his heart, Rudi should learn from him.
