One Lewis Hall stat shows Thomas Tuchel continues putting trust in Chelsea Academy

For a long time, Chelsea were criticised for not making the best use out of their academy.

The tide has turned in recent years, starting with Maurizio Sarri who trusted Ruben Loftus-Cheek on a regular basis and started blending Callum Hudson-Odoi in.

Then, Frank Lampard and the transfer ban helped Mason Mount and Reece James to break through, while Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori also got their chances before making big money moves to Italy.

Thomas Tuchel may not be bringing through new academy graduates at a similar rate, but he's not scared to use them.

Lewis Hall, who made his senior debut on Saturday, became the fifth Chelsea academy graduate to make his debut under the German coach.

Previously, Harvey Vale, Jude Soonsup-Bell and Xavier Simons were also given similar chances, while Trevoh Chalobah surprised everyone by becoming a regular first-team player.
