Thiago Silva sets impressive achievement with goal vs Tottenham

Thiago Silva is indeed ageing like a fine wine as he scored his fifth goal for Chelsea in his spell at Stamford Bridge.

As per Opta Sports, the Brazilian has become the oldest player to score in the Premier League since February 2013 at 37 years and 123 days old.

Back then, it was Ryan Giggs (39 years old at the time), who scored against Queens Park Rangers for Manchester United.

Another curious fact is that Silva has so far scored for Chelsea only in London. Apart from his first goal against Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge, the rest of them were scored in London derbies against West Ham and Tottenham.
