'I feel lucky to be playing in it': Saul previews Chelsea's Club World Cup campaign

 last season, Chelsea get direct entry into the semis of the FIFA Club World Cup. The Blues will travel to the UAE to take part in the tournament next week.

 said of the competition (via Chelseafc.com): "It’s a tournament where I feel lucky to be playing in it. I wasn’t in the team that won the UCL, which is an incredible feat, and I have the opportunity to participate in [it] which not all teams or players get to play in.

"It’s really about enjoying it and realise that we’re there because my team-mates won the UCL. We have the chance to win it but each game will be difficult.

"It’s a beautiful tournament and it will be difficult to compete against all the other champion teams, so it would be great to add the trophy to our cabinet."

Chelsea will play at least two games in the competition - hopefully, the second one is the final. The Blues failed to win the Club World Cup back in 2012 after they won their first Champions League - they will be looking to bring it home this time for sure.

Here is all you need to know about the tournament:

 This season’s FIFA Club World Cup is being held in the United Arab Emirates, specifically Abu Dhabi. Chelsea's semi-final and the 3rd place/final will take place at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium.

This year’s FIFA Club World Cup features four rounds of knock-out matches. Chelsea are already in the semi-final, due to winning the Champions League. 

The Blues will also play one more game - the final or the 3rd place. Both games will go to penalties straight after normal time if there's no winner in regulation. 

 Chelsea's semi-final will be on February 9, with the other rounds starting previously on February 4. The final and the 3rd place match will take place on February 12. 

 Al Hilal are in the quarter-finals and will face one of Al Jazira or Pirae. The winner of this game will face Chelsea. 

Depending on the results in the semi-finals, the Blues will then face one of Palmeiras, Monterrey and Al Ahly in either the final or the third-place play-off three days later.
