Mount expected to return for Carabao Cup final, will miss Lille clash

As per the reliable Nizaar Kinsella, Mason Mount will likely be back for the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool this weekend.

The midfielder got injured during the Club World Cup final but is on the road to recovery. However, the Champions League clash against Lille will be too soon for Mount's return.

Kinsella adds that Mount is 'due to train' today as Chelsea prepare to face Lille tomorrow night.

The 23-year-old has made 34 appearances this season, scoring and assisting seven goals each.

The Carabao Cup final is scheduled for February 27 at Wembley Stadium and Mount's return will be very welcome.
