One may think that a team that barely avoided relegation from the Bundesliga is perhaps not the best place to find players for big Premier League sides.
But scouts from Chelsea and Man United think otherwise, if a report in a German magazine Kicker is to be believed. Both Premier League sides want to sign Stuttgart left-back Borna Sosa, they claimed in May.
A Chelsea fan nicknamed Catenaccio Era has taken a look at the Croatian's stats and has been left thoroughly impressed.
"Borna Sosa is absolutely insane. These are the kind of signings i expect Boehly to make," Catenaccio Era writes on Twitter.
"One of the best crossers of the ball in Europe. Very good dribbler and very press resistant. Makes good forward runs and makes himself available.
"Chelsea and United both interested, I would hate for Ten Hag to get his hands on him."
As you can see from FBRef's scouting report, Sosa is among the best full-backs out there.
The higher the number in the percentile column, the better the player is in a given stat in comparison to other players in his position.
As you can see, Sosa is literally in top 1% of the best crossers among left-backs and is excellent at creating chances for his teammates. He's also good at carrying the ball forward and is difficult to dribble past.
