7 Chelsea Academy products who may break through into first team next season: in images

Chelsea have a fantastic academy that has produced a number of first-team players over the recent years, such as Mason Mount and Reece James.

This season, a number of Academy players stand a chance of making it with the first team. Here are 7 Blues youngsters who we think are the likeliest to break through.

Conor Gallagher. The midfield became a full England international last season as he had an excellent season with Crystal Palace. It is expected he would become a starter and a key player at Chelsea this season.

Billy Gilmour. The Scottish international has to impress Thomas Tuchel at a pre-season camp in the US or risk going on another loan.

Levi Colwill. Chelsea still haven't signed a centre-back, providing a golden opportunity for the 19-year-old. He spent the previous season on loan with Huddersfield, impressing fans and pundits alike.

Ethan Ampadu. The Welshman spent the last season at arguably the best league to hone his defensive skills, Serie A. Now it's up to him to show he's good enough for Chelsea's first team.

Tino Anjorin. The attacker still hasn't fulfilled his potential and faces what could be a make-it-or-break it season at the Bridge.

Harvey Vale. The versatile youngster played a bit-part role in the first team last season, occasionally slotting in at various positions. Hopefully Tuchel trusts him more this campaign!

Armando Broja. We analysed the Albanian's situation in detail in another post. He's not in the US with the team yet, but if he stays at the club, there's a good chance he finally makes it with Chelsea.
