Tom I agree with you for the first goal  but Mendy could have done better for the second goal. I feel a bit sorry for Mendy, the media is given him a rough ride, they are not helping in  building his confidence.

It was a curling difficult shot to reach. The media has said absolutely nothing Neuer's similar bad mistake that led to Germany's loss to Japan. So is it because Mendy won't take a contract below Kepa? I think unfortunately, Mendy should move. You should never earn less than your subordinate. If Kepa wants to be number one, he should play a whole season at top level. Then he would have earned it.

I totally agree with you, even when Mendy was playing well for Chelsea , the media and some fans were still calling kepa"s name. 
For me, I still think that Mendy is a better keeper than Kepa, all Mendy has to do is wait for his time.

Mendy has had many howlers recently but watching the replays, I can't blame him for these goals. The 1st header was uncontested by the ball watching defense and Mendy was too far from Gakpo. This is all the media trying to be ruthless as if someone else could have prevented those goals.

Exactly what he deserve he need to start thinking straight and not asking for massive pay rise
