Chelsea have started looking at potential candidates to replace both Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga as the first-choice keeper, The Athletic reports.
Kepa became the club's record transfer in 2018 when the Blues were in panic mode after losing Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid.
However, the Spaniard failed to convince others that he deserves to be a first-choice keeper and lost this status under every Chelsea manager at some point.
Edouard Mendy who was signed in 2020 was hugely impressive in his first season as he helped the Blues to the Champions League win.
Since then, however, he's been in a slump which has not been helped by the exits of Petr Cech and Christophe Lollichon, the two men who were behind his move and supported him the most.
As a result, Chelsea are looking for a new goalkeeper. The Atheltic's report does not name any candidates, although other sources name Porto's Diogo Costa as a potential option.
