This is why signing English players will forever be a problem. THEY are bunch of overpriced players mostly. 
Who would blame Mount , who sees his fellow brit who thus far haven't done anything worthwhile on such an amount or James who is a defender on 250k even though he is worth it . 
Simply ask yourself why Guardiola will never pay Sterling such an amount , and also if James were a gradute from city ranks doing exploits, will Gaurdiola pay him 250k
The wage structure @Chelsea is soon going to be a big problem and chances at trophy is reducing. Also match revenue can't be compared to our rivals because of stadium capacity. 
If Mount is truly blue , he should reach a compromise with the club 
And the club must be careful and wary of Overpriced English players rather stick to the ones brought up in the academy.

Get where your coming from the problem is Sterling isn’t worth £325k a week and Mount believes he’s as good or if not better then Sterling, but I agree with you £325k a week is an obscene amount of money when we are all struggling with inflation

No footballer is worth that amount of money a week but if offered it, us normal mortals would take, most people would until greed takes over and let's admit it there are alot of greedy players around.
