14 in, 8 out: Chelsea transfer round-up ahead of January window

Todd Boehly is said to be ready to back Graham Potter in the transfer market. Big purchases are unlikely in January but Chelsea are keeping tabs on many players ahead of the summer campaign.

Potential arrivals

Ronaldo. Cristiano is a free agent now but Chelsea have no plans to sign him, although Boehly is understood to be a fan.

Nkunku. The transfer is sealed, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Frenchman will join Chelsea next summer.

Zakharyan. The Russian international has reportedly agreed to join Chelsea but the Blues can't pay Dinamo Moscow due to the sanctions imposed on the Russian banking system following the war in Ukraine.

Rice. The Blues are among several teams keen on landing the midfielder, who is set to leave West Ham next summer.

Bellingham. Chelsea are named among the candidates to sign the 19-year-old but Liverpool and Madrid are understood to be more likely options.

Leao. The AC Milan attacker is said to be one of Chelsea's priorities for the next window.

Gvardiol. The Blues are looking to add numbers to their defence and the Leipzig centre-back is their number-one target in this department.

Pickford, Robert Sanchez, Maignan, Diego Costa, Emi Martinez and Unai Simon — this is Chelsea's reported shortlist for a new goalkeeper.

Endrick. The Brazilian wonderkid will choose between Chelsea, Barca, PSG and Madrid.

Potential departures

Pulisic. There are contradicting reports about the American. Some say he could be sold this winter, some say he wants to stay and fight for his place. With a contract expiring in 2024, Chelsea will have to make a decision on Pulisic soon.

Kante. The midfielder's contract expires in 2023 and the sides have not reached an agreement yet.

Kovacic. The Croatian has been a key player for the Blues this season, delivering whenever called upon, but there are reports he's unhappy at the Bridge and wants to move on.

Jorginho. It has been reported Chelsea are working on a contract extension for the Italy international. His deal is up next year. Juventus and Barca would be open to signing him if he doesn't sign fresh terms.

Mount. The England international is negotiating a new deal and is likely to sign it. But Liverpool are sniffing around in case he ends up in a Rudiger-like situation.

Ziyech. The Moroccan doesn't get enough playing time at Chelsea and Milan are said to be interested in his services.

Mendy. Lost his starting spot to Kepa and refuses to sign a new deal. A summer exit looks likely.

Broja. Signed a new deal last summer but still wanted by AC Milan.
