Caught on camera: Kovacic consoles Ziyech after World Cup face-off

Mateo Kovacic and Hakim Ziyech were the two last Chelsea men standing in Qatar. Both of their national teams reached the World Cup semi-finals where they suffered defeats.

As a result, they faced each other in the third-place play-off where Croatia ended Morocco's fairytale by beating them 2-1.

After the final whistle, one of the first things Kovacic did was console his Chelsea teammate.

Ziyech was one of the leaders of the first African side ever to reach the World Cup semi-final. Beating Belgium, Spain and Portugal on their way made their achievement even more remarkable.

The two Chelsea players are expected to get at least a week's rest before returning to training with the club.
