'They don’t want to burn him': Chelsea's plan for Cesare Casadei revealed

Former Catania midfielder Mariano Izco said in an interview that he visited Chelsea youngster Cesare Casadei.

The midfielder joined the Blues in August on a €15m deal but still hasn't made a first-team debut. Izco has shed some light on what Chelsea have in mind for the 19-year-old.

"I started talking to Casadei. I met the boy and followed him there [to London]. For him, it is a dream," Izco told TuttoMercatoWeb.

"When I went to visit the Chelsea facilities, I was [positively] shocked.

"In the meantime, he will learn the language. They don’t want to burn him, he trained with the first team. They want to make him grow. And then play for Chelsea, it’s a dream."
