We're now in the frantic last five days of the January transfer window. At Chelsea, Todd Boehly and his recruitment team are up and about trying to bring new players to the club.
Here's a round-up of deals that could happen at Chelsea before the closure of the winter window.
Potential arrivals
Malo Gusto. Chelsea are set to make another attempt to sign the French right-back, according to Fabrizio Romano. This is a move that could seriously happen before the end of the window. The player is said to have agreed to join Chelsea.
Enzo Fernandez. Benfica are still playing hard to get with the midfielder. Their insistence on Chelsea paying his release clause is a ploy to fend off the Blues until next summer. According to the Portuguese outlet Record, Fernandez will be paid €2m if he doesn't join Chelsea this month.
Moises Caicedo. The Brighton powerhouse has emerged as another player on the Blues' radar. But the Seagulls are unwilling to let a key player go mid-way through the season. Like Benfica, they've employed the tactic of hiking his price tag. One source says he's now valued at £100m.
Amadou Onana. Chelsea are looking for alternatives and their eyes have fallen on the Everton midfielder. According to The Times, Chelsea will approach Everton with a strong bid before the transfer window shuts.
Mateus Nunes. Still in search of a midfielder, the Portuguese is another player being linked with Chelsea. Although the 24-year-old represents a cheaper alternative, he's still relatively unproven at Wolves.
Anthony Gordon. The Telegraph named the English forward as a potential target for the Blues after Lampard left Everton, but there's no indication that Chelsea will pursue him with 10 forwards already on their books.
Possible departures
Hakim Ziyech. The Moroccan is attracting interest from some Premier League clubs notably Everton and Newcastle. There's also a mooted interest from Roma. The next few days will be crucial for Ziyech's future.
Conor Gallagher. The midfielder is being linked with a move to Newcastle. This move may not happen if Chelsea fails to sign a central midfielder this month.
Datro Fofana. Some reports claim Chelsea could loan out the striker for regular playing time in the final six months of the season. This move could depend heavily on what Potter thinks.
